Biographies Sara Alizai

| Hello My name is Sara Alizai. I am Pakistani and proud of it. I only eat a certain type of meat called Halal (Zabihah). If you ever want to get to my heart, buy me food, get me twix, or show me a picture of a tabby. I love all types of music except for country and rap music with too much cursing in it. | | Justine Beck

| Justine is the younger of 2 children and she grew up in a small town in Central New York. She moved to Maryland after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with a minor in Biology from Hartwick College. Before starting pharmacy school she worked as a research technologist at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. After graduation she is unsure wheather she will stay in Maryland or return to New York. She loves shopping with her sister, cooking, reading, watching movies, trying new restaurants and traveling. | | Lillian Chang

| Lillian was born in Monterey Park, CA and moved to Taipei, Taiwan shortly after. Four years later, she moved to Arcadia, CA where she completed kindergarten, elementary, middle and high school. She then wandered a little further to UCLA and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. After taking a year off, she mustered up some courage and traveled 2329 miles to Baltimore, Maryland in order to obtain her Pharm.D. Lillian loves Japanese anime, Japanese drama and Japanese food. Her mind has a tendency to wander off into its own little world. If she looks at you like you are crazy when you are talking to her, it's probably because she spaced out and has no idea what you are talking about! Lillian is usually a nice person, but when she is hungry, she will get grouchy. So please remember to feed her =D | | Julie Chon

She loves to eat and you will always see her carrying around a huge lunch box of snacks to eat in class. If you don't see her with food then something must be wrong because she is always hungry. | | Kathy Johnson

My favorite movie is Fifth Element. I spend most of my time in Starbucks or library. I enjoy working out and de-stressing at HH with friends. I love to hit the beach and cruise when I have time and money. One thing my friends all agree about me is that I'm crazy in a good/different way. Come and say hi! I don't bite most of the time. ^^ | | Jason Kwong

| A few interesting things about me: 1) I was born, actually named by my Chinese name Jay Sun Wukong, but because of a mistake in the sound of the name, the nurse had written "Jason Kwong" and henceforth my name is as it is now. 2) I grew up in the small town of Astoria in Oregon where I played every weekend with my best friends getting into trouble with police and digging for treasures we were sure were buried by acient pirates in the nearby caves. 3) My interests are music, like playing the guitar. My uncle was a science geek himself and he made America's largest working amplifier in 1985. Unfortunately, I had plugged a guitar into it, and out of curiosity, turned up the volume all the way and broke the amplifier worh one pick of a chord. I guess it was never meant to be played. 4) My other interests are martial arts. I have trained since I was 15 in Miyagi-do Karate under a Japanese master. Since I didn't have money initially to pay for lessons, he allowed me to paint his fences and scrub his floors in exchange for them. 5) I entered into pharmacy school in 2008 and the most important thing to me is to have fun. I mean, why so serious? | | Grace Lan

| Grace was born in North Carolina where she spent a short time until she moved to Rockville, Maryland. At the start of high school she moved to Louisiana. In 2007, she got her B.S. in Molecular Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After considering all her options with a science degree, she felt pharmacy was the best career option for her. She spent a year working as a pharmacy technician and preparing before she got accepted to the University of Maryland. Since she spent her childhood growing up there she is happy and nostalgic to be back in her former stomping grounds. Her parents are from Taiwan and she has an older brother who also resides in Maryland. She loves pets (especially dogs) and anything that is cute. She is regrettably very shy and quiet, but if you get to know her she is happy to be your friend. | | Keith Lau
| Originated in Brooklyn, New York and attended SUNY Buffalo for biology prior to Maryland. Keith enjoys paying for bills and playing with his monkeys, frog, and penguin. | | Daniel Lee

| Michelle was born in Hong Kong and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area (aka the Yay Area) around the age of ten. She attended the University of California at Berkeley to study chemistry. As an undergrad, she soon realized that long hours of lab work made her hungry very often so she headed over to the nutritional science department and experimented with something more edible. Eventually, she graduated with a B.S. degree in Chemistry and a minor in Nutritional Science. After spending twelve years or so in California, she decided to come explore the East Coast while attending pharmacy school. | about me: "whatever you are, be a good one." -Abraham Lincoln i'm jeannie. most people call me 'jp.' i like the colours red, blud, and green...in that order, specifically. all day i dream about eating. seven days a week i'm: not looking at salt, pepper nor sand 'cause small grains make me nauseous. randomly designating myself as an animal and acting out its' daily habits. on this particular day, i chose to be a wolverine, which means i am going to scent-mark my territory. carrying my backpack, which i named 'Wilber', around with me wherever i go. brushing my teeth after every meal. and i mean every. running on my treadmill, Mason, with converse all-stars. i'm such a bad arse huh? Who I'd like to meet: you. everyone has a story; i'm open to hearing abou tit and maybe even be a part of it. you'll know once you read this that i took this from you; ergo, thank you much. | | Gracella Potente

| Gracella's ethnicity hails from the good ol' Philippines, but she was born and raised in Maryalnd and has been Maryland-branded from grade school all the way to professional school. However, she hopes to change this upon graduation from pharmacy school and move to the west coast (perhaps Cali) one day. She is the oldest in her family and has one younger brother, who is often mistaken for being the eldest since she is only about 4'11. Don't let the height fool you though, for she is a rockin' ball of energy. She's one of the coolest, shortest people you'll ever meet. Additionally, she holds a bachelors in biochemistry from the University of Maryland - College Park and one day hopes to open a pharmacogenomics-based company called PPW, Inc. She enjoys being outdoors and having a good time. Also, she is absolutely in love with her three doggies - a male Skye Terrier named Jett, a female Skye Terrier named Keiko, and a tri-colored male Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Xyian. During my free time, I love to shop. My favorite stores are Express, Nordstrom, and Limited. I also love music and dance, as well as spending time with my friends. | | | Kevin Rahn | coming soon | | Czarlite Ricasa

| There are speculations as to where exactly Czarlite Ricasa was born. Sources suggest both Paranaque City and Quezon City in the Philippines to be his place of birth. Etymologists believe his place of origin is likely to be celestial. Whatever the case, Czarlite left a land far, far away at age 2 to be raised in multiple municipalities within Prince George's County in Maryland. Czarlite's love for science spawned at an early age. This is evident in that all the books he read and shows he watched during his leisure time were science oriented. He knew nothing about football, but could tell you the scientific names of his favorite animals in elementary school. There, he was even recruited to represent his school in a television game show called "The Science Bowl". Him and his team made it to the semi-finals. After graduating from Oxon Hill High School, Czarlite pursued a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He attended classes in several community colleges and earned his B.S. from UMBC. His love for science continued after college but he also enjoyed interacting with people like he did in his restaurant jobs. He then discovered the unique and versatile profession of a pharmacist, which combined a strong scientific background with close personal interaction, much like a well-compounded suppository. He has since dedicated his life to that profession. Czarlite lives with his wife in Silver Spring and happily attends the Shady Grove Campus. He enjoys playing videogames, playing his ukulele, reading novels, engaging in various outdoor activities, and working the word "suppository" into conversations during his spare time. | | Arum Seaton

In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching movies, going to sporting events, and cheering on her alma mater, the Maryland Terrapins! | | Peter Thai

| Peter Thai was bornin sunny San Jose, California to a loving mother and father. His life as a kid was simple, yet meaningful. At the time, there were only two things he needed in life. Those things were Ninja Turtles and little league baseball. His career as a little leaguer peaked at the age of 14 when he made the All Star Team, although some people speculate he was taking DHT and his abilities as a baseball player will always be questioned. At the age of 18, Peter was accepted into the University of California, Irvine, land where BMWs, Seven Jeans, and Rainbows rank supreme. During his second year of undergrad, Peter joined the super troopers of VAC, an on-campus student org. Serena loves eating food of all kinds, but especially fruit and pasta. Her lastest obsession is frozen yogurt with fruit toppings, and she's proud to note that she accomplished her summer goal of finding a frozen yogurt place in each of the three cities she lives in: Baltimore, Richmond, and Virginia Beach (Mr. Yogato, Sweet Frog, and Yo Mama, in case you're interested ^_^). But once she's decided she likes something, it's hard for her to order something different. She likes most types of music but nothing makes her heart happier than listening to her favorite bands Saves the Day, MXPX, Taking Back Sunday and Dashboard Confessional to name a few. She misses going to shows and concerts so instead she plays her music way to oud when driving by herself. As a result, she has lost her voice many times from singing along to her favorite songs. | | Surjit Basi | Surjit is a native of Maryland where she was born and raised. She attended the University of Maryland, College Park where she completed her B.S. in Physiology and Neurobiology.
