I was born and raised in Hershey Park, riding roller coasters and eating chocolate all day, everyday. Surrounded by copious amounts of confectionary and exciting rides all my life, naturally, I grew up to have a free-spirited, easy going attitude with a penchant for adventure and spontaneity.

Eventually, I had to leave my beloved Hershey Park to pursue higher education--I went to University of Richmond and trained extensively in the Ninja Arts and Sciences. Those 3 years were perhaps the most important years of my life--through the rigorous teachings of my sensei, I gained much skill and knowledge in the ways of the Ninja.

Vy Nguyen (May 14, 19?? - present) was born and raised in Maryland.  With determination and enthusiasm, she successfully conquered Reservoir High School and University of Maryland, College Park.  She then relocated to Baltimore in order to begin her next conquest - scoping out the unfamiliar territory of pharmacy school.  She dreams to make a permanent mark in the field of pharmacy someday.

I had a pretty rough childhood. My mother died giving birth to me and I never met my father. I grew up on a farm with foster parents, hoping that one day I'd be able to attend a prestigious military academy. When I turned 18, though, my foster parents wouldn't let me go so I ran away from home and started hanging out with some shady characters. Naturally, I soon found myself in trouble with the law. I once helped this girl I liked sneak out of custody (she was in trouble for stealing). The law did some pretty awful things to try and catch us, but I got them back when I switched off my targeting computer and fired two proton torpedoes into the Death Star.

Even though Fred grew up among the palm trees and sandy beaches of Southern California, he's really just a simple country boy at heart. In another life, Fred graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz and worked as an engineer for companies specializing in things like “Product Development”, "Customer Data Integration" and "IT consulting." Tired of his desk job, Fred turned to pharmacy for a second career, a second chance at life, and he hasn't looked back since (except on test days when he wonders why he gave up his cushy 9-5 job for all-nighters in PH).

What do you need to know about me? Well, you should probably be asking me in person rather than hunting me down on a website somewhere, but here it goes anyways:

I grew up where it's cold and where seasons involve frost, ice, snow, mud, and then a glorious month of fairly warm weather. We have the highest recorded non-storm windspeed in the world on record here, plus a bunch of rocks which we are famous for.

People know me more for my personality: always willing to lend a hand, help a friend, that sort of thing. I've always been one to talk to about whatever a person needs, no matter the situation or the subject.

If you try to find me in the morning, most likely I won't be there. Well, you'll see me, but I don't typically wake up until the afternoon. I have this thing where I'm not exactly active during the daytime but I'm up all hours of the night.

Hey hey! I am a Jersey girl, all day everyday!  I was born and raised in central NJ. I know exactly what you are about to ask-- definitely negatron, I'm not from the Jersey shore but I am only 40 minutes away and no, I haven’t met Snooki or J-Woww.  I am actually half Italian!  I graduated from University of Maryland, College Park with a Psychology degree (Non science majors can do this too!). I like hanging out with friends, eating, dancing, and cleaning.  Some may even call me a little bit of a germaphobe.  I really like animals, especially those I can keep in my room; have you heard of Mexican jumping beans?  I speak Spanish and want to study abroad to learn more about other cultures.  I have a great group of friends that really make pharmacy school an interesting and fun(ny) experience.

Ellen was born in China but raised in the wild, wild west of Utah.  She eventually ventured to the University of Southern California for her BA in Biology and Psychology.  During her time there, Ellen became attached to Los Angeles and now considers it her home away from home. I received a BS in Biochemistry with a specialization in computing from the most awesome University of California school of them all, UCLA, travelled all the way to the east coast to complete a MHS in General Epidemiology and Methodology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and am now pursuing a PharmD here at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. My professional interests include anything related to the following key words/phrases: “evidence-based practice,” “comparative effectiveness research,” “underserved populations,” “health disparity,” “health,” “policy,” “pharmacy,” “drugs,” “legislation,” “public health,” and “pharmacoepidemiology” (or just “epidemiology”); feel free to explode those search terms (Get it? I went to College Park where I made it here to UMB in three years. Since in pharmacy school I’ve pulled a few all nighters but always remember having a few nightmares is worth it when living a dream.

Hey everyone!  Stephanie is from Maryland but really loves the sun, beach and warm weather, which is a big reason she earned her undergrad degree at the University of Miami.  She then came back home and got certified in Microbiology.  She is a multi-tasker, fun, vibrant, talks really fast, and loves trying new things. One of Stephanie’s greatest attributes is her ability to interact with people that she’s never met before and really get to know them.  She is always seeking to learn what is different and interesting about others. She is extremely mature for her age but will not shy away from singing Alvin and the Chipmunks songs (in a cute Chipmunk voice) or shuffling to Party Rock Anthem. Let’s see…where should I start?? My name is Monét Stanford (yes, like after the famous painter) and I was born in Buffalo, NY.  I moved around a lot growing up but eventually settled down in good ole’ Maryland. I went to high school in Maryland with another amazing brother (see if you can figure out who) and for undergrad, I attended UMBC (whoop whoop!!) where I started out as an engineering major. After a semester or two, I realized that engineering was not for me and eventually found my calling in pharmacy, which lead me to major in Health Administration and Public Policy. During my time at UMBC, I was a cheerleader (CHEARLEADERS FOR LIFE), sang in the gospel choir♬, and served as president of the Pre-Pharmacy club. I love God, lemonade, chilling with friends, shopping, dancing in random places, and listening to all types of music. Kathy was born in Taiwan but grew up in the suburbs of Maryland. She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in physiology and neurobiology. When she's not busy attending class, Kathy loves to read on her kindle, hike, travel, and DRINK COFFEE. Her dream vacation would be kicking back on a warm, sandy beach with a good book and an even better cup of joe.

Cyurry Choi

Hi there! My name is Esther Lee and I was born and raised in Maryland.  I graduated from the Univ. of Maryland College Park with dual degrees in Neurobiology/Physiology and Psychology. Prior to attending pharmacy school, I wanted to pursue a career as a Professional Pool player but of course, the parents didn’t approve…so, here I am. Other random facts about me…I have a collection of over 50 teddy bears from all over the world and so far, my biggest bear is 5’11”. I love motorcycles, luxury cars and driving fast in them.  I will forever be a BMW driver and currently, own my third one. I’ve participated in a variety of sports including softball, basketball, golf, biking, swimming and snowboarding. Unfortunately, I can’t say that I’m very good at any of them. Lol. Hi, I'm Hanna Lee and people say I am FOB only because I was not born here in the USA. However, I consider myself BOB. (If you don't know these terms, please feel free to ask me in person). I lived in Korea for 11 years and 14 years in the US. I have never lived outside Maryland and I went to UMCP. I am super tall for an Asian girl, but I don't bite. If you don't see me sleeping, then you probably will find me eating. I like my cereal kind of soggy and unripe greenish bananas. I LOVE Haribo gummy bears, coke gummies, and life saver gummies. So if you ever want to bribe me, please bring those. I like to drink tea in regular water bottles, so please don't mistake that for something else dirty. My favorite foods: 1. Korean, 2. Thai, 3. Vietnamese, 4. Indian, 5. Italian, etc. Pho is best when you eat on a rainy day or the night after too much fun. I do commute but do hang out a lot at Fayette. I like to cook and bake, so if you are nice enough, maybe I'll make something for you. ;)

Jan was born in New York and was raised in Ohio and Maryland. She went to school in the Midwest and finds it ironic that her circular path taken brings her back to Maryland for pharmacy school. She is grateful for Faith, family and friends.

Michael Leung

Oh, hello there!  My name is Mike, and today I want to tell you a story about how a little boy from Hong Kong can grow up to be a freakishly tall kid (without genetic engineering) in Baltimore.  It all started when gremlins stole me from my crib and raised me as their own.  They taught me their ways of a capella, Super Smash Brothers combat, and volleyball.  When I outgrew the cave they kept me in, I made my way to New York to attempt to master the trade of business, but then decided that pills were more fun and charmed my way into pharmacy school, where I found that I could make friends by saying funny things and being tall and goofy.  I really enjoy spelling bees, except for when Sean makes me spell Lariam. Kthxbai!

Bonnie Li

Bonnie is originally from China, but has lived in many states across the Eastern seaboard. Before settling down in Maryland, she graduated from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in Biological Sciences. She likes biking along Rock Creek Park, cooking, art history, and tending to her fish aquarium.

Nora Lim

The elusive Nora Lim is native to the regions of Montgomery County, Maryland, though there have been some reported sightings of her in the Baltimore area.  Records indicate that Nora previously attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County where she obtained her B.S. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and was an active member of the UMBC Fencing Club.  Other activities Nora is known to enjoy include arts and crafts, attempting to be technologically savvy, shopping for office supplies, and taking long naps when possible.  It can also be concluded that she has a very strong aversion to cold weather, but an extremely high affinity for puppies and other cute critters.

Betty Mai

Betty was born in Manhattan, NY and lived in the city for the first few months of her newborn life. She spent her early childhood in Arlington, VA before moving to Rockville, MD at the age of 6 where she has lived ever since. Before coming to UMSOP, she attended the University of Maryland, College Park where she decided she wanted to pursue a career in pharmacy. Not a big fan of chocolate or cheese, although she'll make exceptions for Twix and pizza. She loves to eat. Especially Asian cuisine, which is one thing she wishes Baltimore had more of. And can't ever go wrong with Chipotle :)
She also loves SHOPPING. Retail therapy will hopefully get her through pharmacy school.  That and LOTS of green tea, I suppose. After graduation, she'd like to get out of Maryland at least for a little while and experience something new before settling down somewhere.

Sean McHale

Hi y’all. The name’s Sean and I’m from Tampa, Florida. Let’s see, about myself… I’m married to a beautiful wife… I’m mostly Irish with some strong Slovak blood flowing within me. It makes me that much more awesome. You’ll usually see me at the gym going crazy on the weights. By the dubs, that’s about the only time I ever wear sneakers. I’m always in flip-flops. Unless it’s snowing, or raining, or I’m running late to class, or if I’m running.  Oh, and definitely not when I’m driving. I especially love playing board games and computer games. My favorite board game is HeroQuest, and if you don’t know what it is, it’s kind of like a COOL version of Dungeons & Dragons. Crazy, I know! My favorite video game is Cooking Mama, because it teaches me how to cook good. Also, I’m pretty good at hiding myself from others.

The name is Hung. I'm a pretty chill guy. Born April 5, 1988 in Saigon, Vietnam. Moved here when I was 5 and have been living in MD ever since. California is my second home because I've been there so many times and I've been from SD to SF (via Pacific coast highway it is awesome). Holla if you're from Cali, which is probably 50% of the class. Hmm what else to say.......Any tennis players wanna play gimme a call when the weather is nice. Fun fact #1:I like to cook for fun and am a major foodie (yelp everything!!!). Fun fact #2: I know more Kpop than most Koreans. Bonus Fact: I like spontaneous trips to wherever XD. Jessica Wong

Hi, my name is Jessica Wong and I’m originally from LA.  I graduated from UC Irvine with a degree in Chemistry and Biology and worked as a chemist for 4 years.  I love playing team sports (softball, soccer, volleyball, tennis, and basketball) and watching tv during my spare time.  When school gets really busy, I daydream of eating good food, being back in LA or Newport Beach, travelling, or just being outside and enjoying the nice days.  The place I really want to visit is Maine in the fall, so with a new KY chapter coming, hopefully I’ll be able to do that.  I picture myself eating a crab roll on a buttered toast and fried whole belly clams, sitting on a craggily rock beach next to a lighthouse at sunset, and enjoying the nice trees and breeze that come with fall weather.  Anyways, back to Baltimore.  When I’m here, I’m usually studying, attending meetings or forums hosted by the many pharmacy organizations, hanging out, or going to church on Sundays.  I can be a bit quiet and forget to say hi to people, but I hopefully warm up as I get to know you better.  For my future plans, I’m interested in most of the professions in pharmacy and hopefully by the end of P2, I’ll have narrowed it down.

Kathy is an upbeat, cheerful pharmacy student with a passion for french fries. When she is not on the hunt for the most delicious french fries that Baltimore has to offer, she is busy running, playing soccer, or tennis to burn off those potato calories! Carol Yun

Greetings! Carol is from Menifee/Temecula, California and attended University of California, San Diego and received a degree in General Biology.
Simply put, she is random.  So here are some random facts about her:

- Can be a great cheerleader since she is loud and probably obnoxious to some (hopefully not)

Stephanie Zhang

I had a pretty rough childhood. I never met my dad, and to make things worse, my mom kicked me out of our single bedroom house when I was 13. My only friend at the time was a total jerk, and he always told me I wasn't good enough. I didn't really have a choice since the town I lived in only had like 10 people living in it. I spent the rest of my childhood traveling the nation and getting into fights with random strangers. Things got pretty serious since they would throw money at my feet when I defeated them. I fought many kids my age, and even some adults. The only thing that kept me going was my dream to become a Pokemon Master.

Zhongyuan "Evan" Zhao

Evan was born and raised in Shanghai, China until the age of 18 when he decided to study abroad in the US. He got his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania, and then continued his education here at Maryland for pharmacy. Evan loves to travel, and sunny beaches are always his favorite destinations. His dream is to own a pharmacy store in a small town by the ocean. Please come by and say hi to him :)

Jennifer Abernathy

Hi! I'm Jen, but go by many names including Jabernathy, Jabers, and Jabz. I graduated in May 2009 from Salisbury University with a BS in biochemistry before coming to pharmacy school. I have lived in Maryland my whole life, but definitely love to travel. I hope one day to become a pediatric pharmacist because I love kids and they seem to love me. Here are some random tidbits/facts about me:
- I am a very random person, don't question me because most of the time I don't even know what I'm talking about
- I am a blonde at heart no matter what color my hair may be dyed when you see me
- I like to take the occasional nap, stay up past 2 am, and sometimes wake up at the crack of dawn
- I actually like to watch sports including tennis, football(I love the Ravens ♥ ), the Olympics, and baseball (worked at Ripken Stadium over the summer, Home of the Ironbirds)
- I like people who are genuine, down to earth, spontaneous, crazy at times, and try to pick my friends with that mind frame =)

Hi Guys! I am originally from Ancaster, Ontario Canada! I already know what you’re thinking… And it’s true. Canadians are in fact cool people, and I am definitely one of them.  I did my undergrad at James Madison University, which I attended on a basketball scholarship. I was the team’s starting point guard and was a three time captain for the Dukes from 2003-2007. In 2007 we were ranked one of the top 25 teams in the nation and I finished 4^th in the entire NCAA in assists per game. My senior year I also accomplished my childhood dream of playing in the NCAA tournament.  In my free time I like to bother the other Kappa Psi brothers… particularly Katie, Kelly, and Lena. Hi! My name is Joleine Bigcas and I was born and raised in San Diego, CA. I usually always say hi or wave when I see someone that I know, so please feel free to say hi back or chat. Otherwise, it’s extremely embarrassing for me J.

Katie Brant

I grew up in the small town of Cambridge on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, although I don’t really consider myself a small town girl. I attended the University of Maryland, College Park and graduated with a degree in Physiology and Neurobiology. I am the oldest of three with two younger sisters, and my family is a very important part of my life. Things that I love: going to the beach, warm weather, summer (seeing a trend?), taking naps, chocolate, watching TV shows, traveling to new places, Van Gogh, and reading when I have the time.

Maggie Chan

Hi! My name is Maggie. I was born and raised in Maryland. I went to University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) before coming to pharmacy school. To me, helping people is always a pleasure. I love to travel and spend time with family and friends. In my free time, I enjoy doing artwork, watching dramas, singing, and listening to music. Coffee/tea time everyday is definitely a must, and above all, I just enjoy being carefree.

Cathy Chang

Cathy was born in South Korea and came to the US at the age of 7, making a two year stop in Hawaii before settling down in Potomac, MD. Prior to the slight move up to Baltimore, she completed her pharmacy prerequisites at University of Maryland, College Park. Way before SAT books made their way onto her bookshelf, Cathy originally aspired to be an artist, and then dreamt of becoming an astronaut (one day...), then wished to become a doctor, and eventually settled for a career in pharmacy after a medical trip to Mexico. Her mother's side of the family are all pharmacists except for one uncle, so I guess you could say it was meant to be! She loves loves loves frozen yogurt, can't live without coffee, and enjoys being outdoors/traveling. Cathy walked into pharmacy school set on residencies, but plans have changed, rotations happened, awesome people walked into her life, etc. etc. and as of today she's leaning towards possibly a PhD program upon graduation.

James Chang

I was born in Los Angeles, CA and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. I came to the U.S. when I was 13. I attended the University of California, San Diego, and graduated with B.S. in Biochemistry and Psychology. 

Monica Chang

Monica was born and raised in Maryland where she spent all of her life. She enjoys watching many TV shows, eating boxes of cereal, and loves attending church.

Alicia Chen

Although Alicia has now lived in Maryland for a whopping 12 years (has it been that long?!), she was born and raised in the small town of Tyler in East Texas and is a Southern girl at heart. She's also a lover of Latin music, countries, people, and culture, and people often tell her that her life is a telenovela - because it's true, just ask for some stories. She ventured into the DC night life as bartender in 2009 and has a flair for mixology. Alicia loves meeting new people, traveling, and road trips - she's super easygoing, you can go and talk to her anytime - do it!!

Larren Collins

Larren was raised just south of Madison, Wisconsin. Her family consists of her Mom, two younger brothers, Kal and Paul, and Scottish terrier, Duncan (Duncan Doughnut, Dunker Chunker, etc.) She then decided to tackle The University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in pursuit of her Bachelor’s in Physiology. Though she misses the Midwest a great deal from time to time, she’s happy to be in Baltimore surrounded by some pretty amazing people. She has acclimated to the weather. It’s a bit warmer than she’s used to. If you ever want something to do, she would love to bring you along to play soccer or swing dance! Or, if you would prefer to just get coffee, she’d love to do that too. Oh, and hugs are always appreciated!

Dr. Gosia Dabek

Though originally born in Poland, Margaret Dabek has been a Baltimore local for the past 23 years since her family immigrated to the U.S. Her Polish name was "Malgorzata" and that's a mouthful so it was changed early on, but socially she still goes by "Gosia" (a shortened form, ask her little or grandlittle for the pronunciation). When she is not cheering on the Ravens, Orioles or Capitals with her fiance, Bryan, or watching her favorite shows (Dexter and Breaking Bad), you can find her enjoying long walks by the waterside. She describes herself as a mad scientist who is unusually happy and likes to spell things in element names...TeAm  KY!

Brittany Good

I was born and raised in Maryland.  I graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.  I am also an active member of the American Pharmacist Association – Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP).  In addition, I work as a pharmacy intern for CVS. In my spare time, I enjoy scrapbooking and spending time with family and friends.  Furthermore, I like to do community service and participate in patient outreach within the School of Pharmacy.

Andrew Haines

My name is Andrew Haines. I’m from Westminster, Maryland. I’m the second of four kids. I did my undergrad at UMBC in Biology. I study in the HSHSL Library and in PLC (sometimes pretty late). I just moved to Baltimore for Pharmacy School even though I’ve been working here since ‘07. Overall, I really love it- the city and the school. Matthew Han

Matthew was born and raised in sunny Torrance, California and is the elder of 2 children. After spending his undergrad career at UC Berkeley and earning a degree in Molecular Cell Biology with an emphasis on Infectious Diseases, he decided it was time to see the other coast before ending his career as a student. Pharmacy has always been the field for him because not only does it involve science, but also patient interactions, teaching, and community service. In his “downtime,” or time when he should be studying, Matt enjoys many hobbies including wushu (Chinese martial arts), all styles of dancing, rock climbing, magic tricks, eating, mixing drinks, and of course gaming, just to name a few. However, if Matt is ever missing, he is probably enjoying his favorite hobby: Sleeping!

Hana Kim

Hana was born in Seoul, Korea and moved to the US at age 3. She has lived in the Baltimore area since then. She recently graduated from University of Maryland, College Park with a B.S. in Biology. She loves to play and watch sports so she is a die-hard Ravens and Orioles fan!! Her other favorite hobby is eating non-stop. :D Although she's been in Maryland almost her whole life, after pharmacy school Hana would like to eventually move out of MD and experience something new.

Peter Kim

Peter was born and raised in Rockville, MD. After finishing his B.A. in Economics at the University of Maryland, College Park, he took a semester to work and travel around Europe with his family.  He loves food and will always accept a free meal. He plays guitar, piano, and drums and helped produce his church's first CD.

Una Kim

Una was born in Florida and raised in South Korea, and in Newark, Delaware. She graduated from University of Delaware (GO BLUE HENS!) with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a minor in Biological Sciences. Outside of school, she enjoys traveling, hiking, kayaking (any nature/outdoorsy activities), and saving sea turtles. Una hopes to pursue two year residency after pharmacy school.

Christian Lee

Born and raised in NYC, Christian grew up by the School of Hard Knocks and was educated at the Bronx High School of Science located in the Boogie Down Bronx. He received his Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry at Stony Brook University where he discovered his interest in the biological sciences, Counterstrike, and anime.

A peculiar animal, Christian is usually facetious by nature and is often said to possess a kind heart. Although he is extremely shy at the approach of strangers, Christian tends to warm up to the offering of good food, sports banter (Yankees/Jets/Knicks) and the occasional Jessica Alba Maxim spread. He also enjoys the esoteric sports of Ultimate Frisbee, Softball and Handball commonly found in his native habitat.

Unique and one of a kind, Christian is considered endangered and demands to be fed well (no Chinese food please) and to be treated to the soothing sounds of Pharrell, Timbaland, Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, Tupac…and Justin Bieber. Please treat with care.

Emily Lee

Emily Lee was born in Taipei, Taiwan and lived there for 9 years before she moved to New Zealand, where sheep dominate the lands and people hide in Hobbit holes. She moved to California after college, and somehow ended up in Rockville, Maryland. She loves to play the piano, the violin, and go to Asia Taste for popcorn chicken + bubble tea, Arirang for Gamjatang, Annandale for Shilla, and Caliyoghurt for frozen yoghurt. 

Janet Lee

Hello!  I’m Janet Lee!  I was born and raised in the Baltimore area.  I moved to Philly for college and graduated from UPenn with a BA in Biological Basis of Behavior.  After graduation, I moved up to NYC to work at NYU Medical Center and eventually ended up in a graduate program at NYU.  I graduated from the NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service with an MPA in Healthcare Policy and Management.  I eventually moved back to Baltimore and am super excited to be back in MD!  I love most Korean things, karaoke, good food and music, bubble tea, and hugs!  I <3 my KY brothers and am so happy that I decided to pledge my first year!   

Kelly Li

Kelly Li was born in China and moved to Maryland when she was 5. She graduated in 2009 from the University of Maryland, College Park with a B.S. in Microbiology. She loves to laugh, spend time with family and friends, hit the snooze button, cardiobox, and eat,eat,eat.  Someday, she would love to travel to Europe, go skydiving,  go snorkeling in Australia, and have a doggie of her own. A firm believer in Jesus Christ, she puts her hope in God's grace to carry her through the joys and trials of life.  She is looking forward to her next 3 years here in pharmacy school and hopes to make it out in one piece!

Cindy Liu

Cindy was born in Taipei, Taiwan. She moved to the US when she was 10 years old. As a result, she is one of the strange cases that can read, listen, and speak Chinese, but cannot for her life, write. As a former resident in temperate Nor Cal, she dislikes all forms of snow and snow sports. Winter and the cold places her in hibernation mode, during which she tends to take 7 hour “naps” at a time. She may, however, be coaxed out of her den by popcorn chicken from Asia Taste or promises of Caliyogurt. She did her undergrad study at UCB, with a major in Molecular Cell Biology and minor in Japanese Language. Other favorite things in life include Jane Austen, shopping for handbags, and her baby nephew.

Christy Min was born and raised in Korea and moved to the U.S. and started her coursework in Washington. She switched her status from a Seattler to a Marylander in 2009 and enjoys her life in Maryland in combination with D.C. and Virginia. She loves drawing, listening to music, playing the piano & cello, karaokeing, snowboarding, traveling, and froyoging! She also loves to eat but tries to avoid Korean spicy food. She thinks Asia Taste restaurant (Taiwanese & Chinese cuisine) has the best food and price ever in Rockville area. =D

My name is Monique, but friends call me Mo! I was born 'n raised in Texas, so don't make fun of me if I say "ya'll" in every sentence. :) I have two awesome dogs, a turtle, and many fish.  In my free time, I like to cycle, travel, watch movies, play fetch with my dogs, snowboard, hangout with friends, try new restaurants, and play hockey.  Go Caps!  I'm volunteering in Ghana this summer so I am super passionate about public health and community service.  I was born Friday the 13th....so I'm GOOD luck! :)

Hi! I’m Sheetal Patil (with an I!) and I was born in the lovely town of Charleston, South Carolina. I’ve moved around a lot and lived in several different places including India, which is why I’ve never finished the 3^rd grade because the school year runs different there.  But mostly, I’ve lived in the Bronx, NY and Bel Air, MD for the majority of my life.  I went to UMBC and decided on pharmacy as my career, but I have a lot of interests outside the profession.  Above all, I’m a goofy gal, I love all things Disney related, I love food (especially chocolate) and movies.  Since I’ve moved around a lot, I’m open to a lot of cultures, new ideas, and different types of people and music, so I’m sure we’ll have something to talk about : )

Andrew Phan

I was born in 1986. I don't remember when I started walking, but as a kid I used to laugh so hard I had to change my pants more than my friends did. I lived in California. I will probably live in California. I got my BS at UCLA. I like traveling, cameras, running outdoors, video games, longboarding (the kind with wheels), biking, the beach, bugs, some plants, and most foods.

Jennifer Piechocki

I was born and raised in Baltimore, but lived in Westminster, MD for the past 4 years. In 2009 I obtained my bachelors degree in biology from McDaniel College and made the decision to attend University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. Now, I live in the heart of the city and love it.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, doing crafts and just relaxing. I also love going to sleep early. As my friends know, I am definitely a morning person and have been known to fall asleep by 10 or 11 (when possible that is!). Over the past three years I’ve worked as a pharmacy technician for Weis Markets and realized that I really enjoy the community setting. Although I am thinking about pursuing a career in retail pharmacy, only time (and future rotations) will tell.

Amber Streifel

Amber is from Seattle, Washington. She attended the University of Washington and graduated with degrees in Microbiology and French. She has a little brother who also moved to Baltimore to start grad school at Hopkins last year. She enjoys naps, eating food, and dancing in cowboy boots. She has met both Vince Vaughn and Ted Danson, and once almost met Lance Bass.  

Kyle Stultz

Kyle was born and raised in New York City, the older of two kids. He received his BA in psychology from Binghamton University and his Master’s from Midwestern University before arriving in Maryland. In addition to being a lifelong Yankees fan he loves skittles, summers, sports, and at least 3 other things that begin with S….guess them!

Anna Thai

Hi everyone! I was born in Maryland and have been here all of my life. I attended the University of Maryland, College Park where I spent an amazing four years. I really enjoy living in Baltimore now, but I do look forward to the weekends at home where I get to spend time with some of my favorite people in the world, including my awesome baby cousin, Vy and my boyfriend of 8 years, Johnny. I am in love with the sport of flag football and will try to make you play one day. I am also hungry all of the time and love to cook, although I am only a beginner. Prior to moving to Baltimore for pharmacy school, Trang graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Sciences in Biology.  In her spare time she enjoys traveling, catching up on sleep, and laughing.  When in Florida, you can find her either at the beach, running, playing piano, or inside a coffee shop.  Her three “happies” are:  1) family, 2) food, and 3) the Florida Gators. But children also put a smile on her face.

Shawn Wang

Hi my name is Shawn Wang, I was born in beautiful city of HangZhou China and I spent my first six years of my life there. However my ordinary life turned into an adventure when I left China at age of six and spent the next six years in Europe where I was accustomed to the French culture and language. In 2000 I came to the United States and lived here ever since. I graduated from University of Washington with BS in Biochemistry. In my pass time, I love to hangout with friends, watch tv dramas and also play sports especially tennis, badminton, and soccer. So if you ever want to play LET me know !

Chris Wolff

Chris Wolff, born Brother Phoenix East Horse, was raised by Wolffs in North Carolina.  His birthplace is unconfirmed, and his parents claim he was left on their doorsteps by gypsies—some speculate he was wrapped in nothing but an American flag and that is why he carries one with him at all times. Growing up with 2 older sisters Chris often had to entertain himself.  This led him to search for spiritual enlightenment, which he found in his beliefs of medieval Christian paganism.  Seizing the day like a bear on the first day of spring following hibernation, Chris became a weekend warrior, partaking in San Shou, a form of Chinese kickboxing, for 4 years under the tutelage of a Chinese Kung Fu Master.  Standing relentlessly united, like a soaring eagle, Chris remains a dedicated fan of the Cubs and Bengals, and knows first hand what it is like to be a life long loser.

Seojin Yang

I was born in Korea and raised there most of my life. I came to US in 2006 and went to Purdue University for 3 years.  In 2007, I went to Kenya for 3 month as a medical volunteer. Even though there was no electricity or running water, I had a great time with my Kenyan family. I love to sleep (at least 10-12 hrs)/ hangout with my friends/ cook/ eat/ shopping/movie. I miss my family and friends in Korea all the time, but love school so much!

Lena Zhou

Lena has been around Maryland her entire life.  Born in Shanghai, China, she moved to Rockville, MD when she was only 5 years old.  Before coming to pharmacy school, she attended the University of Maryland, College Park and graduated with a B.S. in Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics.  On the weekends, you’ll most likely find her back home seeing family and playing with her cute 1 year old niece that’s already learned how to use her cuteness to get away with everything and anything  =).  She loves to go skiing in the winters and traveling in the summers.  She loves meeting new people so don’t hesitate to say hi!
