Sam Brackett
| Hey guys, the name is Sammy. Ive lived in Maryland my whole life but not the part most people are accustomed to. I grew up in Western Maryland, close to the border of West Virginia. I love living in the city now where I get to enjoy luxuries like restaurants, electricity and indoor plumbing. In my spare time (what precious little we have in pharm school) I enjoy playing/talking/watching most sports. Basketball and football are my favorites. Go Ravens & Orioles! |

Andrea Cheung
| Hi I’m Andrea and I was born and raised in Maryland. Early on during high school I had an interest in immunology which led me to pursue a career in pharmacy. From then on I knew I wanted to become a pharmacist, and now I am that much closer to reaching my goal at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. Aside from school, I like to eat good food and bake. Although I prefer the warmer weather, the one thing I like about winter time is snowboarding. |
Jane Ching
| Once upon a time, I lived in the kingdom of Far Far Away locked up in a tower waiting for my prince charming to come and rescue me….blah/gag/just kidding! Adventures. NEW YORK. Fooooood. Music. Exploring. Learning new things. Chillin', sleepin', hangin', runnin'. Sunshine. FUN.

Nancy Guan
| My name is Nancy Guan and I am from Silver Spring, MD. I went to George Washington University for undergrad and majored in Chemistry with a minor in Biology. I have pretty much lived in the same house my whole life. I am always interested in learning how to eat more healthily and I try to work-out as often as I can. I love to play tennis and raquetball so feel free to play with me or introduce me to other sports! I used to play violin and piano but I play every now and then for fun. I love to listen to relaxing instrumental music (esp. piano, violin, and cello) and spend quality time with friends and family. I also love nature and of course all things small, soft, cute, and fluffy! I don't bite so if you have any questions or concerns feel free to chat with me =) |
Grace Herr
|
I got my bachelor degree in microbiology. I am adventurous and spontaneous. I LOVE trying out new things, places and food. I value in spending quality times with people I love and also in spreading smiles. |
Michael Ho
| "Hello, ladies, look at your man, now back to me, now back at your man, now back to me. Sadly, he isn't me, but if he stopped using ladies scented body wash and switched to Old Spice, he could smell like he's me. Look down, back up, where are you? You're on a boat with the man your man could smell like. What's in your hand, back at me. I have it, it's an oyster with two tickets to that thing you love. Look again, the tickets are now diamonds. Anything is possible when your man smells like Old Spice and not a lady. I'm on a horse." |
Suzan Hua
| Hi! My name is Suzan. I was born and raised in California and graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Public Health. I like to eat, watch TV, watch TV shows about food, look at pictures of food, and travel (to find good food)! In summary, I like food. I also have an incurable addiction to boba. |
Sara Huh | Herro~ My name is Sara and I have a dog named Noob (he is awesome). I like fruit, sunflowers, spontaneous travelling, Haribo gummi bears, eating stuff, hearty breakfasts, Friends the show, friends, and llamas. Sunny, but cool days make me happy and I love my friends and family. |
Jason Keung
| I was born and raised in Maryland. I went to UMBC to get a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I like outdoor activities such as hiking, running, tennis, and climbing. I hiked part of the Appalachian Trail and would like to eventually hike the whole trail. As of now, I am looking towards focusing on either nuclear pharmacy or compounding, but who knows what the future holds. |
Caroline Kim
| YOLO |
Diane Kim
| Hello! I've lived in Chicago since I was 3, which probably makes me one of the few people not from Cali or the east coast. I have a crazy sweet tooth, which can get pretty hard to control. I watch way too many TV shows for my own good, and I have lost count of how many times I've watched each and every episode of Friends. I can easily spend hours looking up new music, I love crossword puzzles, and I love playing/watching sports. I also love trying out new restaurants to eat at, so if you know of a good place, let me know and we shall grab some grub! |
Hyunah Kim

Monique Kim
| Growing up in nobility, I was shut-in my whole life. When I became a teenager I ran away to experience the world. I had to run from town to town to try to escape my parents. Eventually I was able to make friends along the way. They helped me escape several times, helping me survive in each town with food and shelter. Unfortunately, I was caught once for stealing, but then a boy sneaked me out of custody. We were constantly on the run together until my long lost godfather showed up in the form of a dog and helped me escape into platform 9 and 3/4. |
Stephanie Kim
| Stephanie Kim graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a degree in Public Health. She enjoys shopping, watching movies, and munching on food. Other things she likes (except one of them) and wishes she did more often: cook, study, hang out, and work out. |

Francis Nguyen
| Hello, my name is Francis and I was born and raised in California. I grew up in a family of four and have one younger brother who’s currently serving in the Navy. I was a pretty wild kid back in elementary school and indulged in things like fire, playing in trashcans, chopping down the neighbor’s cactus. Of course, I was usually the one who instigated these missions and dragged my sibling and cousins along with me. But enough of my childhood. I’m fairly sane these days and try to keep up with school and whatnot. I enjoy eating and trying out new foods and traveling although I haven’t done much of that. I never thought I’d end up in the east coast but here I am. I’ve enjoyed my time here so far and I have to say it’s because of the people I’ve met :) |
Jamie Nguyen
| Hello! My name's Jamie and I definitely don't bite so feel free to come up and say hi to me if you see me! I'm from Maryland and I've been here ever since the day I was born so I'm a pretty rooted person. That said, I like playing words with friends, ice skating, and demolishing people in speed card games like Egyptian Rat Screw. I also like Risk and Chess so if you like any of the aforementioned games, CHALLENGE ME. I also like hiking, reading mangas, books, and articles about anything enlightening or cool so if you've got any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated. |
Natalie Nguyen
|
I was born and raised in Hershey Park, riding roller coasters and eating chocolate all day, everyday. Surrounded by copious amounts of confectionary and exciting rides all my life, naturally, I grew up to have a free-spirited, easy going attitude with a penchant for adventure and spontaneity. I live by this motto: Part-time ninja, free-lance artist, scientist; full-time friend. I live by this motto: Part-time ninja, free-lance artist, scientist; full-time friend. |

Her secret weapons include her love of exploring new places, meeting new faces, and learning as much as she can. If you want to form an alliance with her, simply bribe her with delicious cheeseburgers, yummy fruit smoothies, bear hugs, a good book recommendation, or perfect-picnic-weather days. Come join her on her fun adventures, as she forges her way through the rest of the world. :) |
Salin Nhean
| Hi, it’s Salin, pronounced like Celine. I’m always a proud Terps. I love traveling and doing outdoorsy activities! I also like learning new things. It didn’t always work out. I’ve tried taking Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, and Turkish…. Maybe I’m just not a language person, but it was fun learning. “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” –Mark Twain |

Simon Bae
|
I had a pretty rough childhood. My mother died giving birth to me and I never met my father. I grew up on a farm with foster parents, hoping that one day I'd be able to attend a prestigious military academy. When I turned 18, though, my foster parents wouldn't let me go so I ran away from home and started hanging out with some shady characters. Naturally, I soon found myself in trouble with the law. I once helped this girl I liked sneak out of custody (she was in trouble for stealing). The law did some pretty awful things to try and catch us, but I got them back when I switched off my targeting computer and fired two proton torpedoes into the Death Star.

Stella Chan
|
Hiya! I'm Stella, but my "real" name is something entirely different... that is also quite hard to pronounce. Anywho, I was born and raised in good ol' Maryland - graduated from UMBC with a B.S. in Biochemistry and now I'm here! I like to waste my time playing video games and reading about useless things on the internet (especially when I'm supposed to be studying). I'm no good at writing these things, so if you want to know more, come find me!
|
Fred Chang

In his free time, Fred enjoys traveling, cooking, golf, and engaging in mental athletics on the Internet. He is an avid college football fan (Go Trojans!) and animal lover. You will usually find him with a Cherry Coke in hand and a smile on his face. |

Went to the University of Maryland in College Park, and finally ended up at pharmacy school. I enjoy listening to music (at the time of this writing, listening to Headlights), baking, online shopping, artsncrafts, and wasting time on the internets. If you see me hanging around PH, come say hi :D |
Joyce Chin

Hi! I’m Joyce, and I was born and raised in Korea before I came to the States. I’ve been in many different places throughout my life and thus love traveling. I enjoy watching both old and new movies, eating good food, and playing sports (squash, bowling etc). Though I’m not a cook, I enjoy searching for good and do-able recipes, hoping that I’d make them one day! ;D Oh, and a random fact about me: Though I’m a 100% pure blood Korean, I don’t drink (yes, this includes sojoo) and don’t enjoy going to karaoke! But I do all other Asian stuff to my knowledge^^

Nate Darling
|
What do you need to know about me? Well, you should probably be asking me in person rather than hunting me down on a website somewhere, but here it goes anyways: I grew up where it's cold and where seasons involve frost, ice, snow, mud, and then a glorious month of fairly warm weather. We have the highest recorded non-storm windspeed in the world on record here, plus a bunch of rocks which we are famous for. People know me more for my personality: always willing to lend a hand, help a friend, that sort of thing. I've always been one to talk to about whatever a person needs, no matter the situation or the subject. If you try to find me in the morning, most likely I won't be there. Well, you'll see me, but I don't typically wake up until the afternoon. I have this thing where I'm not exactly active during the daytime but I'm up all hours of the night. " I possess the power of survival in the cold. Life is like a flower as it stumbles out of fall."
|
Arlene Gao
|
Hello! My name is Arlene, and I’m from Gaithersburg, Maryland. I completed 2 years at the University of Maryland, College Park before coming to pharmacy school. Things I miss the most are my family back in China, as well as the sunshine and the theme parks in Orlando.

Brittany Harris ![]() |
Hey hey! I am a Jersey girl, all day everyday! I was born and raised in central NJ. I know exactly what you are about to ask-- definitely negatron, I'm not from the Jersey shore but I am only 40 minutes away and no, I haven’t met Snooki or J-Woww. I am actually half Italian! I graduated from University of Maryland, College Park with a Psychology degree (Non science majors can do this too!). I like hanging out with friends, eating, dancing, and cleaning. Some may even call me a little bit of a germaphobe. I really like animals, especially those I can keep in my room; have you heard of Mexican jumping beans? I speak Spanish and want to study abroad to learn more about other cultures. I have a great group of friends that really make pharmacy school an interesting and fun(ny) experience.

Ellen Huang
|
Ellen was born in China but raised in the wild, wild west of Utah. She eventually ventured to the University of Southern California for her BA in Biology and Psychology. During her time there, Ellen became attached to Los Angeles and now considers it her home away from home. In her spare time, Ellen enjoys working out at the gym, catching up on much needed sleep, or just hanging with friends. Away from pharmacy school, she likes to travel and do outdoorsy things like hiking and kayaking. Ellen is a super morning person. If she catches you early in the morning, and greets you with a perky “Hello!,” don’t be alarmed. She's free-spirited, loves to smile, and will try her hardest make you laugh!

Cameron Johnson
|
Cameron is a Maryland native and one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet. She graduated from UMBC with a degree in Biochemistry. Camie, as she goes by, enjoys singing, hanging out with friends, and listening to music. During her undergraduate career, she put her beautiful voice to work and participated in Gospel choir. Her first semester of pharmacy school, she learned a lot! ...and not only what the curriculum had to offer, I'm talkin’ lots of lessons from her friends ;) She never loses sight of the important things in life, aka: God and her family. Camie may seem shy at first, but once you get to know her, you will find she is a fun, kind, smart and awesome individual!

I was born and raised in Seoul, Korea until the middle of my college years. Feeling unmotivated to continue studying engineering and hoping for a turning point, I ventured into America to be a clean slate in 2007. My ultimate goal is to become a research scholar in Pharmacognosy, but for now I am happy to be in the UMB pharmacy school. It's just Baltimore City I don't love but good to be near DC & my mom >.<

Greetings Friend! I wish I were witty sometimes, but I guess this’ll have to do J. I’m from southern California. You might ask where exactly, but I’ll leave that as a starting point for something to talk about when you meet me. I received a BS in Biochemistry with a specialization in computing from the most awesome University of California school of them all, UCLA, travelled all the way to the east coast to complete a MHS in General Epidemiology and Methodology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and am now pursuing a PharmD here at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. My professional interests include anything related to the following key words/phrases: “evidence-based practice,” “comparative effectiveness research,” “underserved populations,” “health disparity,” “health,” “policy,” “pharmacy,” “drugs,” “legislation,” “public health,” and “pharmacoepidemiology” (or just “epidemiology”); feel free to explode those search terms (Get it? Yeah…I’m pretty horrible). Personal hobbies include golf, volleyball, tennis, baseball, hiking, kayaking, camping…really anything involving sports or is outdoor related. I love food (Asian foods, especially), any kind of tea, and playing guitar…and STARCRAFT! I enjoy the company of good people and good, thought-provoking conversations when awake and silly ones when delirious. I am pretty reserved at first, but yeah…awkward at all times. Last, but not least, I place my trust and my life in the expert hands of God.

Jueli Li

Hello! My name is Jueli, and no it is not misspelled! I moved to Rockville, MD from China when I was 5 and met my parents for the first time. They asked me whether I wanted a little brother or sister and because I said no, I am now an only child. I grew up in the DC suburbialand and yearned for new experiences, which landed me in the cornfields at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Although I loved the Midwest, I missed the fast-paced east coast more, and I am now back in Maryland for school. I love food (especially carbs, cilantro, and anything super spicy!), bunnies, and laughter. Also, I would love to be challenged in a spice-eating contest. Please inquire within.

Hi! I was born and raised in Florida and went to UC Berkeley for undergrad (Go Bears!). If you find me, I am probably eating, "studying", or doing something random/absurd. I am dorky/nerdy and love using emoticons/smileys/symbols whenever possible ([>^_^]> Y[^o^]Y <[^_^<]). My hobbies include fooding, sleeping, traveling, origami, dancing, sleeping, drawing/painting, board games, and sleeping. My dislikes are running on low blood sugar, exams, and freezing outside in cold weather. I love smiling and learning about pharmacology, and I look forward to applying these (along with pharm school training) when I become a full-fledged pharmacist. |

Born in California, I've lived in Maryland since 3 years old. I graduated from UMCP with Neurobio/Phys and Korean. A few facts: I'm easily amused and easily scared. I make lists for almost everything. I play Super Smash Bros and MarioKart (but I'm not very good -.-). On a rainy day, you'll find me curled up on the couch reading my Nook. I tend to collect things like movie tickets, blankets, and handwritten notes. I have 3 dogs who don't like to let me watch mediasite. I tend to be just a little bit random and a little bit awkward. NRB sometime?

Howdy! I have spent my whole life in Maryland, because I <3 Maryland and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. For high school, I went to Loyola Blakefield in Towson (same as Chris Min) and got my bachelor degree in chemistry and biology from Towson University + I still live primarily in Towson today. I can speak some Spanish, but I am much better with German. Spending time with friends and family is something I love to do, but don’t get to do much anymore because of school and work. I have a big bro and a little bro. I love to tinker, fix things, and learn how things work. You will never see me turn down an offer for good food, so I try to balance it out with going to the gym… but I especially like to run outdoors :D |
Anita Nwachuku
|
Hey Hey Heyyyyyy…..Anita here. I was raised here in Maryland by way of a beautiful and magical place in a far far away land called Nigeria. I went to College Park where I made it here to UMB in three years. Since in pharmacy school I’ve pulled a few all nighters but always remember having a few nightmares is worth it when living a dream. Things I love: God, family, good music, Busboys and Poets, Burn Notice, wearing 4 layers of clothes regardless of the already warm temperature, Maxwell and eating rice 4 grains at a time always scooping them up in a left to right direction. Things I DON’T love: Cold weather, going anywhere without chapstick, getting my hair wet, glitter lipstick, tattoo baby showers, seeing Monet sad (I would do anything to see a smile on that girl’s face). ALWAYS REMEMBER………………………………………..Live Well. Love Much. Laugh Often.

Justin Robinette
|
Pharm Student by day and DJ by night you can find Justin hidden in the a dark corner of your favorite nightclub spinning the latest electro-house tracks or in the middle of the dance floor throwing it down. There have been recent reports of him being at Pharmacy Hall but those claims have yet to be proven as more than rumor. If seen, remind him to call his mom as she gets very angry when he forgets.

Stephanie Shulder
|
Hey everyone! Stephanie is from Maryland but really loves the sun, beach and warm weather, which is a big reason she earned her undergrad degree at the University of Miami. She then came back home and got certified in Microbiology. She is a multi-tasker, fun, vibrant, talks really fast, and loves trying new things. One of Stephanie’s greatest attributes is her ability to interact with people that she’s never met before and really get to know them. She is always seeking to learn what is different and interesting about others. She is extremely mature for her age but will not shy away from singing Alvin and the Chipmunks songs (in a cute Chipmunk voice) or shuffling to Party Rock Anthem. Just ask and she’ll definitely demonstrate for you!

Monet Stanford
|
Let’s see…where should I start?? My name is Monét Stanford (yes, like after the famous painter) and I was born in Buffalo, NY. I moved around a lot growing up but eventually settled down in good ole’ Maryland. I went to high school in Maryland with another amazing brother (see if you can figure out who) and for undergrad, I attended UMBC (whoop whoop!!) where I started out as an engineering major. After a semester or two, I realized that engineering was not for me and eventually found my calling in pharmacy, which lead me to major in Health Administration and Public Policy. During my time at UMBC, I was a cheerleader (CHEARLEADERS FOR LIFE), sang in the gospel choir♬, and served as president of the Pre-Pharmacy club. I love God, lemonade, chilling with friends, shopping, dancing in random places, and listening to all types of music. To know me is to love me✪ So please come chat with me, I love making new friends. |
Dianna Staves
|
Howdy, Ahlan wa Sahlan & Sawatdee! I am happily married to the best Wingman in the world, my husband, Steve. Pet Peeves: lima beans, dishonesty, solecisms, bad manners, and ginger (the food, not the redheads) I love learning new things all the time—so teach me, little grasshopper! |
Kathy Tang
|
Kathy was born in Taiwan but grew up in the suburbs of Maryland. She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in physiology and neurobiology. When she's not busy attending class, Kathy loves to read on her kindle, hike, travel, and DRINK COFFEE. Her dream vacation would be kicking back on a warm, sandy beach with a good book and an even better cup of joe.

Emily Wiener
|
Hi! My name is Emily Wiener. People can either spell my name correctly or pronounce it correctly but not both. I was born and raised in Orange County, California and earned my BS in Chemistry from Cal State Fullerton. Being in Maryland makes me miss the beach and the beautiful warm weather as well as my friends and family. When I’m not studying I love to sleep, cook, bake, and be crafty. When it’s not freezing or humid I love being outside especially if it’s at the beach. One day I hope to travel the world and enjoy all its beauty before it’s too late. |

Jackie Beyth
| Hi! My name is Jackie Beyth. I am Maryland born and raised and have been here all my life. With the exception of the short time I spent at University of North Carolina Wilmington to get my BA in psychology, which has lead to my interest in psychiatric pharmacology. I also spent some time at Towson to finish my prereqs for pharmacy school. I love music and hope to do lots of traveling in the future. And even though I am a Shady Grove student you will find me in Baltimore all the time, for school, work and fun. Especially in the fall since I love going to football games! |
Jim Chang
| Jim ‘J- Money’ is from NYC, went to college in Central NY but moved back to the NYC area when he started working in New Jersey. It was then that he realized just how awesome NJ was. His ultimate dream is to move to Jersey, find a nice, smart, tanned gal and live his life. His hobbies include GTL, fist pumping, having a MVP night out with the Bros, going out and looking for chicks who are DTS (Down To Study). His dislikes include grenades, landmines, war and violence. Unfortunately, he had to cut this short because the cabs are here and IT’S T-SHIRT TIME!!!!!!!!! |
Teresa Chang
| My name is Teresa but my friends call me ”T”. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Hmm..what can I tell you about myself? I like to shop, travel, experience new things, and EAT. Don’t let my size fool you! I also love watching CWTV shows and Chinese dramas. O yea, and one other thing you should know about me. I hug my favorite teddy bear to sleep every night. Yes, hug. It is literally in my arms and not just sitting next to me. If you ever come to my room and try playing hide and seek with it one day, I will hurt you. Other than that, I am a very friendly person. So if you ever see me around, make sure to say HI :) |
Xing Chen
| Hello, brothers! I was born and grew up in Guang Dong, China. I can speak both Cantonese and Mandarin. I came to the U.S. after high school and lived with my family in Brooklyn, NY. Amy Cheng
| Hi! My name is Amy Cheng and I was born and raised in New York. After high school, I got sick of the East coast and decided to make the 3,000 mile trek to the West coast where I called Los Angeles home for 4 years. I went to USC (University of Southern California, not South Carolina) [go Trojans!] where I studied biology and health promotions and disease prevention. I enjoy shopping for things both new and old, going to concerts, exploring new places, museums, and roller coasters. Sunday brunch and birds make me happy :D |

Things that rock my socks: volleyball, crosswords, eclectic food, good books, sunny days, most animals, folding laundry, coffee & tea, colorful things, Justin Bieber, the “House of the Dead” arcade game, and pharmacy school! Things that don’t: seafood, dust, winter, roller coasters, and scary movies. |
Cyurry Choi
| Born and raised as a Washingtonian (the state, not the city), Cyurry loves Seattle, coffee, and *gasp* rain. Don't ask her about Forks, Washington, though because she's never been there, and it's nowhere close to where she's from. She likes chatting with friends, eating out, watching crime shows and Korean dramas, and discovering new places. If you're family or friend and you're ever having a bad day, you can easily convince her to give you a big hug, buy you coffee, bake cupcakes, or just provide a shoulder to cry on or ear to vent to, so just let her know. |
Kasia Czerwinska
| Hi! My name is Kasia. I was born and raised in Poland and moved to Maryland in 1993. I went to the University of Delaware for undergrad where I studied bio and psych. I then moved back to Maryland for pharmacy school. I am the oldest of three. I love travel, shopping, going out to eat, shopping and sleeping! I also love sunshine, beaches and boating. Annie Guan
| Annie is from Wheaton, Maryland and has lived there all her life until she decided to move to Chapel Hill, NC to attend the University of North Carolina. After being in the south for 4 years, she decided it was time to come back home to attend pharmacy school. She loves to eat delicious things and shop for pretty things. She also likes to exercise and work on her fitness. One thing she cannot live without is her music. She’s always on the search for new songs and it would make her really happy if you send her music every so often. Warm sunny days by the water also make her very happy, which is why when she grows up (a.k.a graduate from pharmacy school), her goal is to own a boat. One last thing: she LOVES her TARHEELS!! |
Sharon Hu
| I was born in China and came to the US during the 1st year of high school. I got my BS in Chemistry at the University of Utah. Food makes me happy and I LOVE Asian bakeries! |
Godwin Kam
| Hello fellow Kappa Psi brethren. My name is Godwin Kam. I’m from San Marino, California and majored in biology at UCI. I also have two younger sisters. Even with my sick obsession for football and basketball, I still love to play computer games. If you were to bump into me, I would most likely be studying, at the gym, or sleeping. Most of the time, I would wonder why I’m in Baltimore instead of heading out for decent food. Even though I may look like I might hurt the next person who acknowledges me, please do not be afraid to approach me. |
Kil Kim
| Hits: Music, Movies, Puzzles, Kindle, Warm weather, Good stories |
Hayley Le
| Hayley Le is from sunny California. Her real name is Ha, which means “river” in Vietnamese. And, NO, Hayley is not the combination of Ha and Le. She just likes the name. She came from a family of five children. Her siblings drove her nuts sometimes but she loves them dearly. Family has always been her main support system and she is grateful for it. She is in love with Vietnamese food even though she is willing to try anything. She is serious when it comes down to work and business but she can be funny when she tries really really hard. However, don’t hesitate to come talk to her; she promises that she wouldn’t bite. |
Jackson Le
| Jackson is your typical pharmacy student; hungry, sleep deprived, and awesome. He’s always there to lend a hand, give a shoulder to lean on, explore a new restaurant, or partake in a road trip. So find him and be ready to be wowed. |
Alice Lee
| Hi! Alice was born in South Korea and she started a new life in the US at the age of 13. |
Esther Lee
| Hi there! My name is Esther Lee and I was born and raised in Maryland. I graduated from the Univ. of Maryland College Park with dual degrees in Neurobiology/Physiology and Psychology. Prior to attending pharmacy school, I wanted to pursue a career as a Professional Pool player but of course, the parents didn’t approve…so, here I am. Other random facts about me…I have a collection of over 50 teddy bears from all over the world and so far, my biggest bear is 5’11”. I love motorcycles, luxury cars and driving fast in them. I will forever be a BMW driver and currently, own my third one. I’ve participated in a variety of sports including softball, basketball, golf, biking, swimming and snowboarding. Unfortunately, I can’t say that I’m very good at any of them. Lol. I love meeting people and building new friendships. So, if you see me around, don’t hesitate to say hello :D |
Hanna Lee
| Hi, I'm Hanna Lee and people say I am FOB only because I was not born here in the USA. However, I consider myself BOB. (If you don't know these terms, please feel free to ask me in person). I lived in Korea for 11 years and 14 years in the US. I have never lived outside Maryland and I went to UMCP. I am super tall for an Asian girl, but I don't bite. If you don't see me sleeping, then you probably will find me eating. I like my cereal kind of soggy and unripe greenish bananas. I LOVE Haribo gummy bears, coke gummies, and life saver gummies. So if you ever want to bribe me, please bring those. I like to drink tea in regular water bottles, so please don't mistake that for something else dirty. My favorite foods: 1. Korean, 2. Thai, 3. Vietnamese, 4. Indian, 5. Italian, etc. Pho is best when you eat on a rainy day or the night after too much fun. I do commute but do hang out a lot at Fayette. I like to cook and bake, so if you are nice enough, maybe I'll make something for you. ;) |
Jan Lee
| Jan was born in New York and was raised in Ohio and Maryland. She went to school in the Midwest and finds it ironic that her circular path taken brings her back to Maryland for pharmacy school. She is grateful for Faith, family and friends. |
Michael Leung
| Oh, hello there! My name is Mike, and today I want to tell you a story about how a little boy from Hong Kong can grow up to be a freakishly tall kid (without genetic engineering) in Baltimore. It all started when gremlins stole me from my crib and raised me as their own. They taught me their ways of a capella, Super Smash Brothers combat, and volleyball. When I outgrew the cave they kept me in, I made my way to New York to attempt to master the trade of business, but then decided that pills were more fun and charmed my way into pharmacy school, where I found that I could make friends by saying funny things and being tall and goofy. I really enjoy spelling bees, except for when Sean makes me spell Lariam. Kthxbai! |
Bonnie Li
| Bonnie is originally from China, but has lived in many states across the Eastern seaboard. Before settling down in Maryland, she graduated from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in Biological Sciences. She likes biking along Rock Creek Park, cooking, art history, and tending to her fish aquarium. |
Nora Lim
| The elusive Nora Lim is native to the regions of Montgomery County, Maryland, though there have been some reported sightings of her in the Baltimore area. Records indicate that Nora previously attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County where she obtained her B.S. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and was an active member of the UMBC Fencing Club. Other activities Nora is known to enjoy include arts and crafts, attempting to be technologically savvy, shopping for office supplies, and taking long naps when possible. It can also be concluded that she has a very strong aversion to cold weather, but an extremely high affinity for puppies and other cute critters. |
Dennis Lin
| Hey Guys! My name is Dennis Lin and I’m from San Marino, California. I went to UCSD for undergrad and flew all the way out to the east coast for pharmacy school. I am a HUGE sports fan. You can always find me on the basketball courts at the campus center. I love basketball (Lakers), baseball (Dodgers), and football (Cowboys). I have an unhealthy obsession with chips and corn. My hobbies include collecting basketball shoes and drinking coffee! |
Kang Lin

Friendship is very important to me. I love spending time with friends. In my leisure time, I like playing keyboard, singing, reading, swimming and jogging. I have many dreams. One of them is writing great songs that can give power to those who are experiencing the downhill of their lives. |

Betty Mai
| Betty was born in Manhattan, NY and lived in the city for the first few months of her newborn life. Before coming to UMSOP, she attended the University of Maryland, College Park where she decided she wanted to pursue a career in pharmacy. Not a big fan of chocolate or cheese, although she'll make exceptions for Twix and pizza. She loves to eat. Especially Asian cuisine, which is one thing she wishes Baltimore had more of. And can't ever go wrong with Chipotle :) |
Sean McHale
| Hi y’all. The name’s Sean and I’m from Tampa, Florida. Let’s see, about myself… I’m married to a beautiful wife… I’m mostly Irish with some strong Slovak blood flowing within me. It makes me that much more awesome. You’ll usually see me at the gym going crazy on the weights. By the dubs, that’s about the only time I ever wear sneakers. I’m always in flip-flops. Unless it’s snowing, or raining, or I’m running late to class, or if I’m running. Oh, and definitely not when I’m driving. I especially love playing board games and computer games. My favorite board game is HeroQuest, and if you don’t know what it is, it’s kind of like a COOL version of Dungeons & Dragons. Crazy, I know! My favorite video game is Cooking Mama, because it teaches me how to cook good. Also, I’m pretty good at hiding myself from others. |
Jessica Menachery
| I’m from Potomac, MD and spent a majority of my life here in Maryland. I went to the University of Maryland Baltimore County for my undergrad where I got my Biology degree. I love watching tv and movies, reading, shopping, singing (mostly off-key lol), and dancing. |
Christopher Min
| Just your pretty standard pharmacy student. |
Elly Moon
| I was born and raised in Korea till I got into pharmacy school except for being in North Carolina for 2 years during elementary school. I love to sleep like a baby but pharmacy school took a lot of my sleeping time. I am very interested in fashion as much as pharmacy so I enjoy reading fashion magazines, watching runway shows and shopping. I never cooked before I got married so now I will try to learn cooking and hope to make delicious dishes. |

Serena Pu
| In 2004, from TW to U.S.A. |
Eduardo Shen
| Eduardo Shen is a man of eccentric proclivities. When he is not busy falling asleep in class or studying into the wee hours of the night at PH, he is busy embarking on his personal quest to escape a burning building with a puppy tucked under the crook of his arm. He is positive that this will occur any day now. |
Hung Tran
| The name is Hung. I'm a pretty chill guy. Born April 5, 1988 in Saigon, Vietnam. Moved here when I was 5 and have been living in MD ever since. California is my second home because I've been there so many times and I've been from SD to SF (via Pacific coast highway it is awesome). Holla if you're from Cali, which is probably 50% of the class. Hmm what else to say.......Any tennis players wanna play gimme a call when the weather is nice. Fun fact #1:I like to cook for fun and am a major foodie (yelp everything!!!). Fun fact #2: I know more Kpop than most Koreans. Bonus Fact: I like spontaneous trips to wherever XD. Not sure where pharmacy school will lead me yet, so just going with the flow right now. |
Sandy Truong
| I was born and raised in Maryland. I love fall weather, the beach, bubble tea, Chipotle, holiday season, the color green and spending time with my family. I also adore fat, chubby creatures such as pigs, Yoshi, hamsters and minions. |
Jessica Wong
| Hi, my name is Jessica Wong and I’m originally from LA. I graduated from UC Irvine with a degree in Chemistry and Biology and worked as a chemist for 4 years. I love playing team sports (softball, soccer, volleyball, tennis, and basketball) and watching tv during my spare time. When school gets really busy, I daydream of eating good food, being back in LA or Newport Beach, travelling, or just being outside and enjoying the nice days. The place I really want to visit is Maine in the fall, so with a new KY chapter coming, hopefully I’ll be able to do that. I picture myself eating a crab roll on a buttered toast and fried whole belly clams, sitting on a craggily rock beach next to a lighthouse at sunset, and enjoying the nice trees and breeze that come with fall weather. Anyways, back to Baltimore. When I’m here, I’m usually studying, attending meetings or forums hosted by the many pharmacy organizations, hanging out, or going to church on Sundays. I can be a bit quiet and forget to say hi to people, but I hopefully warm up as I get to know you better. For my future plans, I’m interested in most of the professions in pharmacy and hopefully by the end of P2, I’ll have narrowed it down. |
Kathy Yee
| Kathy is an upbeat, cheerful pharmacy student with a passion for french fries. When she is not on the hunt for the most delicious french fries that Baltimore has to offer, she is busy running, playing soccer, or tennis to burn off those potato calories! She also enjoys baking when she gets the chance! She has a big smile and an even bigger heart! The End! |
Carol Yun
|
Greetings! Carol is from Menifee/Temecula, California and attended University of California, San Diego and received a degree in General Biology. |
Stephanie Zhang
|
I had a pretty rough childhood. I never met my dad, and to make things worse, my mom kicked me out of our single bedroom house when I was 13. My only friend at the time was a total jerk, and he always told me I wasn't good enough. I didn't really have a choice since the town I lived in only had like 10 people living in it. I spent the rest of my childhood traveling the nation and getting into fights with random strangers. Things got pretty serious since they would throw money at my feet when I defeated them. I fought many kids my age, and even some adults. The only thing that kept me going was my dream to become a Pokemon Master. |
Zhongyuan "Evan" Zhao
| Evan was born and raised in Shanghai, China until the age of 18 when he decided to study abroad in the US. He got his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania, and then continued his education here at Maryland for pharmacy. Evan loves to travel, and sunny beaches are always his favorite destinations. His dream is to own a pharmacy store in a small town by the ocean. Please come by and say hi to him :) |

I have lived in Maryland my whole life, but definitely love to travel. I hope one day to become a pediatric pharmacist because I love kids and they seem to love me. Here are some random tidbits/facts about me: |
Dawn Andanar
| Born in Chicago, IL. Childhood memories in NY and NJ, but calls Harford County, MD home. Graduated from Villa Julie College (now Stevenson University) with a BS in Biotechnology. Filipino. Technology nerd. Shopaholic. Science geek. Hopeless romantic in love. I'm a complex person. I'm predictable, yet spontaneous. I'm organized, yet I'm a terrible mess. Once you see one side of me, HACHACHA! I'll surprise you with another. See? Like that 'HACHACHA'. You can't possibly tell me that you expected that. I love to meet new people and make new friends. But I keep the old. One is silver, and the other's gold. And some of them are platinum (that's extra special). I get my creative juices flowing via singing, dancing, photography, and diy arts and crafts. |
Andrea Benvenuto
| Hi Guys! I am originally from Ancaster, Ontario Canada! I already know what you’re thinking… And it’s true. Canadians are in fact cool people, and I am definitely one of them. I did my undergrad at James Madison University, which I attended on a basketball scholarship. I was the team’s starting point guard and was a three time captain for the Dukes from 2003-2007. In 2007 we were ranked one of the top 25 teams in the nation and I finished 4th in the entire NCAA in assists per game. My senior year I also accomplished my childhood dream of playing in the NCAA tournament. In my free time I like to bother the other Kappa Psi brothers… particularly Katie, Kelly, and Lena. Chipotle sooths my soul and makes the world all right. I’m a cool cat, and if you want to learn more, please don’t hesitate to ask! All the best. |
Joleine Bigcas
| Hi! My name is Joleine Bigcas and I was born and raised in San Diego, CA. I went to the University of California at Berkeley for undergrad (Go Bears!!) where I received a B.S. in Chemical Biology and a Minor in German (Ja!). After completing a two-year residency and traveling the world, I hope to settle back in my favorite city, San Diego. I usually always say hi or wave when I see someone that I know, so please feel free to say hi back or chat. Otherwise, it’s extremely embarrassing for me J. |
Katie Brant
| I grew up in the small town of Cambridge on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, although I don’t really consider myself a small town girl. I attended the University of Maryland, College Park and graduated with a degree in Physiology and Neurobiology. I am the oldest of three with two younger sisters, and my family is a very important part of my life. Things that I love: going to the beach, warm weather, summer (seeing a trend?), taking naps, chocolate, watching TV shows, traveling to new places, Van Gogh, and reading when I have the time. |

To me, helping people is always a pleasure. I love to travel and spend time with family and friends. In my free time, I enjoy doing artwork, watching dramas, singing, and listening to music. Coffee/tea time everyday is definitely a must, and above all, I just enjoy being carefree. |
Cathy Chang
| Cathy was born in South Korea and came to the US at the age of 7, making a two year stop in Hawaii before settling down in Potomac, MD. Prior to the slight move up to Baltimore, she completed her pharmacy prerequisites at University of Maryland, College Park. Way before SAT books made their way onto her bookshelf, Cathy originally aspired to be an artist, and then dreamt of becoming an astronaut (one day...), then wished to become a doctor, and eventually settled for a career in pharmacy after a medical trip to Mexico. Her mother's side of the family are all pharmacists except for one uncle, so I guess you could say it was meant to be! She loves loves loves frozen yogurt, can't live without coffee, and enjoys being outdoors/traveling. Cathy walked into pharmacy school set on residencies, but plans have changed, rotations happened, awesome people walked into her life, etc. etc. and as of today she's leaning towards possibly a PhD program upon graduation. |
James Chang
| I was born in Los Angeles, CA and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. I came to the U.S. when I was 13. I attended the University of California, San Diego, and graduated with B.S. in Biochemistry and Psychology. |
Monica Chang
| Monica was born and raised in Maryland where she spent all of her life. She enjoys watching many TV shows, eating boxes of cereal, and loves attending church. |
Alicia Chen
| Although Alicia has now lived in Maryland for a whopping 12 years (has it been that long?!), she was born and raised in the small town of Tyler in East Texas and is a Southern girl at heart. She's also a lover of Latin music, countries, people, and culture, and people often tell her that her life is a telenovela - because it's true, just ask for some stories. She ventured into the DC night life as bartender in 2009 and has a flair for mixology. Alicia loves meeting new people, traveling, and road trips - she's super easygoing, you can go and talk to her anytime - do it!! |
Larren Collins
| Larren was raised just south of Madison, Wisconsin. Her family consists of her Mom, two younger brothers, Kal and Paul, and Scottish terrier, Duncan (Duncan Doughnut, Dunker Chunker, etc.) She then decided to tackle The University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in pursuit of her Bachelor’s in Physiology. Though she misses the Midwest a great deal from time to time, she’s happy to be in Baltimore surrounded by some pretty amazing people. She has acclimated to the weather. It’s a bit warmer than she’s used to. If you ever want something to do, she would love to bring you along to play soccer or swing dance! Or, if you would prefer to just get coffee, she’d love to do that too. Oh, and hugs are always appreciated! |
Dr. Gosia Dabek
| Though originally born in Poland, Margaret Dabek has been a Baltimore local for the past 23 years since her family immigrated to the U.S. Her Polish name was "Malgorzata" and that's a mouthful so it was changed early on, but socially she still goes by "Gosia" (a shortened form, ask her little or grandlittle for the pronunciation). When she is not cheering on the Ravens, Orioles or Capitals with her fiance, Bryan, or watching her favorite shows (Dexter and Breaking Bad), you can find her enjoying long walks by the waterside. She describes herself as a mad scientist who is unusually happy and likes to spell things in element names...TeAm KY! |

I just moved to Baltimore for Pharmacy School even though I’ve been working here since ‘07. Overall, I really love it- the city and the school. Feel free to hit me up if you see me around or on facebook chat. I’m happy to help and I like getting to meet people. |
Matthew Han
| Matthew was born and raised in sunny Torrance, California and is the elder of 2 children. After spending his undergrad career at UC Berkeley and earning a degree in Molecular Cell Biology with an emphasis on Infectious Diseases, he decided it was time to see the other coast before ending his career as a student. Pharmacy has always been the field for him because not only does it involve science, but also patient interactions, teaching, and community service. In his “downtime,” or time when he should be studying, Matt enjoys many hobbies including wushu (Chinese martial arts), all styles of dancing, rock climbing, magic tricks, eating, mixing drinks, and of course gaming, just to name a few. However, if Matt is ever missing, he is probably enjoying his favorite hobby: Sleeping! |
Hana Kim
| Hana was born in Seoul, Korea and moved to the US at age 3. She has lived in the Baltimore area since then. She recently graduated from University of Maryland, College Park with a B.S. in Biology. Her other favorite hobby is eating non-stop. :D Although she's been in Maryland almost her whole life, after pharmacy school Hana would like to eventually move out of MD and experience something new. |

|
Kelly Li was born in China and moved to Maryland when she was 5. She graduated in 2009 from the University of Maryland, College Park with a B.S. in Microbiology. She loves to laugh, spend time with family and friends, hit the snooze button, cardiobox, and eat, eat, eat. Someday, she would love to travel to Europe, go skydiving, go snorkeling in Australia, and have a doggie of her own. A firm believer in Jesus Christ, she puts her hope in God's grace to carry her through the joys and trials of life. She is looking forward to her next 3 years here in pharmacy school and hopes to make it out in one piece! |
Cindy Liu
|
Cindy was born in Taipei, Taiwan. She moved to the US when she was 10 years old. As a result, she is one of the strange cases that can read, listen, and speak Chinese, but cannot for her life, write. As a former resident in temperate Nor Cal, she dislikes all forms of snow and snow sports. Winter and the cold places her in hibernation mode, during which she tends to take 7 hour “naps” at a time. She may, however, be coaxed out of her den by popcorn chicken from Asia Taste or promises of Caliyogurt. She did her undergrad study at UCB, with a major in Molecular Cell Biology and minor in Japanese Language. Other favorite things in life include Jane Austen, shopping for handbags, and her baby nephew. |
Jing Liu

She loves drawing, listening to music, playing the piano & cello, karaokeing, snowboarding, traveling, and froyoging! She also loves to eat but tries to avoid Korean spicy food. She thinks Asia Taste restaurant (Taiwanese & Chinese cuisine) has the best food and price ever in Rockville area. =D |

Birdie Nguyen
|
Hi! I'm Birdie (yep, my legal name for those of you wondering) and I was born and raised in the great state of California. As a child, I played lots of jump rope and read lots of books. As a big kid, I play lots of music and read lots of recipes (I have a gigantic cook book that I like to browse but not actually use). Everyday I pray for a hot cup of tea, sunny skies and world peace. |
Sheetal Patil
|
Hi! I’m Sheetal Patil (with an I!) and I was born in the lovely town of Charleston, South Carolina. I’ve moved around a lot and lived in several different places including India, which is why I’ve never finished the 3rd grade because the school year runs different there. But mostly, I’ve lived in the Bronx, NY and Bel Air, MD for the majority of my life. I went to UMBC and decided on pharmacy as my career, but I have a lot of interests outside the profession. Above all, I’m a goofy gal, I love all things Disney related, I love food (especially chocolate) and movies. Since I’ve moved around a lot, I’m open to a lot of cultures, new ideas, and different types of people and music, so I’m sure we’ll have something to talk about : ) |

Andrew Phan
|
I was born in 1986. I don't remember when I started walking, but as a kid I used to laugh so hard I had to change my pants more than my friends did. I lived in California. I will probably live in California. I got my BS at UCLA. I like traveling, cameras, running outdoors, video games, longboarding (the kind with wheels), biking, the beach, bugs, some plants, and most foods. |
Jennifer Piechocki
|
I was born and raised in Baltimore, but lived in Westminster, MD for the past 4 years. In 2009 I obtained my bachelors degree in biology from McDaniel College and made the decision to attend University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. Now, I live in the heart of the city and love it. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, doing crafts and just relaxing. I also love going to sleep early. As my friends know, I am definitely a morning person and have been known to fall asleep by 10 or 11 (when possible that is!). Over the past three years I’ve worked as a pharmacy technician for Weis Markets and realized that I really enjoy the community setting. Although I am thinking about pursuing a career in retail pharmacy, only time (and future rotations) will tell. |

Anna Thai

Hi everyone! I was born in Maryland and have been here all of my life. I attended the University of Maryland, College Park where I spent an amazing four years. I really enjoy living in Baltimore now, but I do look forward to the weekends at home where I get to spend time with some of my favorite people in the world, including my awesome baby cousin, Vy and my boyfriend of 8 years, Johnny. I am in love with the sport of flag football and will try to make you play one day. I am also hungry all of the time and love to cook, although I am only a beginner. I also like to read whenever I have time, watch movies, go shopping and try new things! |

Jackie Tran

Hi everyone so I’ve lived in Maryland for pretty much all my life. Growing up in the oh so exciting suburbs of Howard County made me yearn for more things to do in life. So when I got into UMB I got that chance! I like relaxing at home in my bed and having fun in PLC my home away from home. So yeah that’s it for now! |
Trang Trinh
|
Prior to moving to Baltimore for pharmacy school, Trang graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Sciences in Biology. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, catching up on sleep, and laughing. When in Florida, you can find her either at the beach, running, playing piano, or inside a coffee shop. Her three “happies” are: 1) family, 2) food, and 3) the Florida Gators. But children also put a smile on her face. |

Chris Wolff
|
Chris Wolff, born Brother Phoenix East Horse, was raised by Wolffs in North Carolina. His birthplace is unconfirmed, and his parents claim he was left on their doorsteps by gypsies—some speculate he was wrapped in nothing but an American flag and that is why he carries one with him at all times. Growing up with 2 older sisters Chris often had to entertain himself. This led him to search for spiritual enlightenment, which he found in his beliefs of medieval Christian paganism. Seizing the day like a bear on the first day of spring following hibernation, Chris became a weekend warrior, partaking in San Shou, a form of Chinese kickboxing, for 4 years under the tutelage of a Chinese Kung Fu Master. Standing relentlessly united, like a soaring eagle, Chris remains a dedicated fan of the Cubs and Bengals, and knows first hand what it is like to be a life long loser. |

Joanna Yala
| Potatoes. I love potatoes: mashed, twice baked, au gratin, scalloped, hash browns, potato chips, and french fries. Eating is one of my most favorite things to do. "I think, therefore food." To keep this simple, here's a list of random facts about me: |

I was born in Korea and raised there most of my life. I came to US in 2006 and went to Purdue University for 3 years. In 2007, I went to Kenya for 3 month as a medical volunteer. Even though there was no electricity or running water, I had a great time with my Kenyan family. I love to sleep (at least 10-12 hrs)/ hangout with my friends/ cook/ eat/ shopping/movie. I miss my family and friends in Korea all the time, but love school so much! |
Lena Zhou
|
Lena has been around Maryland her entire life. Born in Shanghai, China, she moved to Rockville, MD when she was only 5 years old. Before coming to pharmacy school, she attended the University of Maryland, College Park and graduated with a B.S. in Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics. On the weekends, you’ll most likely find her back home seeing family and playing with her cute 1 year old niece that’s already learned how to use her cuteness to get away with everything and anything =). She loves to go skiing in the winters and traveling in the summers. She loves meeting new people so don’t hesitate to say hi! |
