The University of Maryland School of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time, 12-month appointment at our Baltimore campus. Determination of appropriate track, rank, and salary will be commensurate with experience and expertise.
The position requires didactic and experiential teaching, scholarly activity, community pharmacy practice, and service to the school/campus/profession. Teaching in the Pharmacy Practice Lab, clinical curriculum, and clinical assessment (OSCE) is expected. Excellent teaching abilities across a range of therapeutic topics and scholarship in an area of interest is expected and may include outcomes assessment, innovative pharmaceutical care services, and scholarship of teaching. Significant opportunity for collaboration exists within the department as well as with the Department of Pharmaceutical Health Services Research and with other professional schools on campus.
An earned Doctor of Pharmacy degree (ACPE accredited) plus post-graduate training (residency, fellowship or equivalent) and teaching experience required. Community Pharmacy or Ambulatory Care residency preferred. Maryland licensure eligible. Excellent communication and patient care skills essential. Specialty certification, evidence of scholarship, and several years of experience is highly desirable.
