Financial Package

Financial support, usually in the form of teaching and research assistantships, is provided for students accepted into the program. This support includes an annual stipend of $23,000, tuition remission, health insurance, and student fees. The total financial support is worth approximately $36,000.

Each year the department offers competitive fellowships that are awarded to current students who have completed their comprehensive exams. The award includes a full stipend plus a $2,000 merit bonus.

In addition, many students successfully compete for external fellowships from NIH and other sources.
