Research Interests: Medication use behavior, diabetes management, women’s health, cardiovascular disease prevention, and evaluation of instructional methods.

Practice Responsibilities: Clinical Specialist, the Antithrombosis Service at the University Health Center, Diabetes Management Clinic at the Baltimore VA Medical Center, and Joslin Diabetes Center at University Medicine.

Professional Goals:

  • Challenge students to personally and professionally grow
  • Mentor students to envision and meet professional goals
  • Design, develop, and implement units of instruction that enable students to acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to see patients holistically and provide state of the art care
  • Use and analyze scientific data to synthesize a comprehensive understanding of the value of drugs to improve the lives of patients
  • Influence the use of drugs by patients and prescribers to improve health outcomes and quality of life
