Dr. Eddington's Research interests include examining factors that influence drug delivery and pharmacokinetics of drugs across biological membranes using in vitro cell culture and animal models so as to elucidate structure-pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic relationships. Current efforts are directed toward examining approaches to modulate drug transporters, and tight junctions at the blood-brain barrier to enhance drug delivery to the Central Nervous System for the treatment of CNS related diseases. Data generated from these approaches are mathematically modeled using pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic and population modeling approaches.
