Heather Congdon, PharmD, CACP, CDE, is the Assistant Dean for Shady Grove and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. After earning her PharmD degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2001, she completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency with emphasis in Community Care from the University of Maryland.
Between 2003 and May 2007, Dr. Congdon was a faculty member at WVU School of Pharmacy, Eastern Division Campus. She was the first faculty member at this branch campus, and instrumental in setting up various programs for the School, including an Ambulatory Care practice site, specializing in Anticoagulation and Diabetes Management. During this time, she also became a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) and a Certified Anticoagulation Care Provider (CACP).
Dr. Congdon joined the University of Maryland in May 2007. She is responsible for the oversight of the new pharmacy campus in Shady Grove.
