My current practices in primary care include the Joslin Diabetes Center, Baltimore Veterans Affairs - Insulin Initiation Clinic, People's Community Health Center (Family Medicine) and Helping Up Missions Agency (Smoking Cessation Program). My areas of interest include medication management of metabolic syndrome patients, and and those who have tobacco use and dependence. My research is currently evaluating the outcome of tobacco use and dependence programs, diabetes management, and evaluating the perception of pharmacy students toward distance learning education. I am also involved with immunization training and diabetes training in the state of Maryland for the APhA immunization certification and diabetes certification for the P3 program. I am the primary care residency director for the Ambulatory Care Residency from July 2007.
