MCIP was established by the Maryland Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Maryland DHMH. The partnership has worked closely with the DHMH Center for Immunization to identify the pertinent issues relevant to implementation of an immunization registry. MCIP is composed of public and private organizations, which are concerned with the issues of childhood immunization and registry development.
