Blackboard Sites

We encourage student organizations to consider setting up a Blackboard site. It's the easiest way to post documents and communicate with your organization's members.

To get started with a Blackboard site: e-mail help@rx.umaryland.edu with a list of your members' Blackboard account names, and which of these should be added as leaders. Leaders can post materials, change membership, and perform other administrative tasks.

Web Sites

Almost every student organization on campus has a Web site (full list). Think of it as the public face of your organization that helps recruit members and publicizes your group's activities.

The School of Pharmacy uses a system called SiteExecutive to maintain its Web site. No software is required to be installed on your laptop, but it is currently incompatible with Windows Vista.

To get started with a Web site: complete this form, have your advisor sign it, and return it to the CNS service window in PLC 133.

Mailing Lists (Listservs)

We encourage student organizations to use Blackboard to facilitate e-mailing their members, but if you have members outside the School of Pharmacy community, you may still use a listserv. More information >>
